Chevron Design on Acrylic Nails

Simple video tutorial showing how I do a chevron design on acrylic nails. Really fun and easy and doesn’t look that bad.

Start out with a white base coat for the chevron nails.

Then a silver layer for the glitter accent nail.

I like to use silver as a base for the glitter to give it a more solid look.

Now, I’ll add a second coat of white after the first coat has dried. Then add a second coat on the silver.

Now, I’ll apply a chunky silver glitter for the accent nail. The different sizes of glitter give it that three dimensional effect.

I use Chevron Washi Tape to cut out the design to create the chevron and apply them to the white nail.

Apply black nail polish to the white nail and cover the entire nail.

You want to make sure the tape is firmly pressed down on the nail so the black doesn’t get underneath and mess up the design.

While the black polish dries, I’ll add another coat to the silver glitter accent nail.

Once the black polish has dried, carefully remove the tape, pulling gently as to not mess up the chevron line.

Apply a clear top coat to seal everything in and give it that polished look.

Enjoy your new chevron nails!
